In about a month my parents are taking me and my cousin to Knoebels. The problem is i’m afraid of rideing roller costers and i promised my cousin that i would ride one with her. How do i overcome my fear, where should i sit, what should i do, and any other advice on first time riding of roller coasters?

Go on one, not the biggest one there, a pretty average but kinda tense one. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, think of happy thoughts, until you are comfortable. Sit on the ride in the middle so you can see what happens but don’t want to be the last one. Try to calm down again, and let the ride begin!

The worst thing to do is force yourself to ride a roller coaster And having fear built up That fear makes your heart pump harder , You got be careful

why did you tell your cousin that if you are afraid to ride them.
I would never put myself in that position.
You know if you get really scared out of your wits they are Not going to stop the ride and get you off it.
So be careful what you promise the next time.
You could be tossing your cookies from riding the wild coasters.

Get on the biggest one you can find and sit at the front. Once your done they won’t seem so bad anymore

Honestly, believe it or not, it doesn’t matter how big the first on you get on is. Go for any one of them. You’ll be nervous all the way up to the point that the ride starts, but once you get going that fear will go away. When you move at that speed, your adrenaline shoots up, and you won’t even care anymore. You’ll just be having a blast. All you gotta do is get on one, and you’ll probably find yourself wanting to get on more.

Try this, but you’ll need an ipod or something: get on a decent sized one, buy in your ear buds so they don’t fall out, and hold on to your ipod so you don’t lose it. When the ride starts, turn it up as loud as you like, and close your eyes. You’ll still feel it, but if you relax, it can really help. Then, when it’s over, you know you’ve done it, and you’ll feel a little better. Work your way up to removing the ear buds and opening your eyes. Where you sit only matters if it has water involved. Go about 2/3 of the way back. Oh, and remember to breathe. Some people try to hold their breath, and end up passing out.

    Good luck to you!
