For the past few days I’ve been having a lot of trouble breathing… I’m pretty sure it’s anxiety attacks. I’m not asmatic (sp?) or anything.

Could you please suggest some ways that I can get rid of the anxiety attacks, or just calm them? It really scares me when I can’t catch my breath.
Thank you! =)

Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. my track couch gave me this advice when i would panic, because i have terrible asthma.

you should try meditation. I got some meditation/yoga DVDs and they really relax me. Also I would try staying as calm as possible and not freaking out more when you get an attack.

Try Xanax it will clam you down in about 15 mins.

Panic Disorder is regarded as one of the great impostors of medicine because its symptoms are sometimes like those associated with heart attacks, some respiratory illnesses, and even thyroid diseases.

Many sufferers have been rushed to a hospital only to be told that there is “nothing wrong with them.” This sometimes happens because the attending physician may be unfamiliar with Panic Disorder and may not be properly diagnosing their condition. Unfortunately, for the individuals who may feel (or have been told) that “it’s just nerves,” it sometimes takes years for sufferers to be properly diagnosed.
