How to relieve anxiety/stress/panic attacks?

I’m thirteen years old, and I’ve suffered from anxiety attacks for about two years now. I have taken Magnesium before, but it doesn’t seem to help. I’ve been told practicing vegetarianism would help as well as exercising and meditating.
Generally it’s triggered by school, or people. I believe I have social anxiety. I get nervous talking in front of the class.

Exercising and meditation are really great ideas. You really need a hobby though, something to keep you busy that you enjoy.

well, honestly I take meds for that and it helps! I went to the doc they prescribed me zoloft, it took around a month to notice the difference, but after that I have felt great; no more panic attacks. Also if you are having one, deep breathing and concentrating on your breathing usually does the trick.

Have you gone to talk to a counsoler to try and see what might trigger these? If it has been happening for the past two years, there might be a trigger. Talking to a professional is private, and it will help you with the stress. I had depression REALLY bad when I was younger. I went to counsolers for it. When I got to be independent and make my own choices, IE had more control over my life, I was fine.

You have low self esteem. This is common among the teens. You can build it by facing your fears and conquering them.Winning is the key.

I have something that will help you win.

Cocoa rich chocolate.Cocoa contains natural substances that reduce stress and pain and create a feeling of pleasure in your brain and increase your brain activity. How long effects last depends on how much you consume.Only a few pieces of high cocoa chocolate reduces your pain, anxiety or stress for most if not all day.Lindt exellence is my recomendation. The best chocolate you can buy and affordable to most people. You can find it in any store with large selection of items. The applications of cocoa are very wide ranging from consuming it before a dentist appointment to reduce pain and fear from the drill. It is very effective.

Eat it every time before you face your fears and every next time it will be easier to face that same fear.

Controlling anxiety attacks is easier said than done. There are many methods of stopping and lessening the intensity of panic attacks, but how many of them really work?

Then there’s the issue of prescribed anxiety medication. These work in some cases (for lucky people), but can be useless and even dangerous in many other cases.

The above comes from an article I found online. I have had some success with meditating, but not enough to be impressed with. Have you had any results from meditating at all?
