Whats the best way to settle anxiety down with out medication?

Heart races, feel achy, smoking twice as much as normal, not hungry

Meditation. Go into a room, cover the windows so that it is totally dark, you can play a CD if you like, turned down low and make sure it is soothing, get comfortable. (I sit on my bed and recline on pillows against the headboard.) Start by focusing on your breathing, concentrate on that to the point that all other thoughts end. Once you get your mind cleared and have your breathing regulated, concentrate on relaxing. Start with the feet and work your way up to the head. Focus and concentrate. Once you are relaxed listen to the music, or if you didn’t put any music on, listen to the silence. If your mind tries to start thinking, repeat this process until you can sit for 30 minutes without thinking, just focusing on nothing. You will be surprised at how relaxing this is. It will be hard to do at first, but don’t give up! You can do this as often as you like and once you master the technique it will be easier and less time consuming. I try to do this 4-5 times a week, it helps so much.
