I have a fear of flying, its not a typical fear like a plane crash. Its that I’ll be onboard and can’t breath

It’s a weird fear. I know that the plane is pressurized; but I feel when I am up there I won’t be able to breath. I also have a slight anxiety about going to the mountains becuase of the high altitude. I associate this with flying.

Fear of being trapped in small places with no way of escape. It’s also seems to be a fear of death, which all of us have from time to time.

It’s more dangerous to drive to the airport than to fly. How many times have you read of people not being able to breathe on a plane? I can’t remember any.

I fly all the time and have never had a problem. Flight Attendants are trained to assist you if you need medical help while in flight, and they have oxygen tanks on board (like they would use in a hospital) just in case you would need assistance breathing. There are also oxygen masks in case the cabin looses it’s pressurization. It is completely safe. Just fly a couple of times and you will conquer your fear
