I recently got dumped by my long-time fiance. It has been the most devestating thing that has ever happened to me.
For the past three nights, I keep having a dream about falling and hitting pavement. Like, last night I dreamt I was playing at kind of an amusement park or play ground..I was kind of jumping around as if I could sorta fly from monkey bars and from one fun playground thing to the next. It was fun, and I felt almost like a super hero or something. The person I was with was jumping with was always two steps ahead of me (I don’t know who the person was), and I was playing with him jumping around high off the ground. When the person jumped down from on top of the swingset, I jumped down after him; except, the distance from the top of the swing set to the ground all of a sudden became very far…I just kept falling and falling, and it turned out to be pavement underneath me. As I fell, I actually hit the pavement, and I could literally feel as if all my bones broke..the wind was knocked out of me completley, that I woke up gasping for air.

I have NEVER had such intense dreams before, and it is extremely terrifying. I have a natural fear of heights, but these dreams are worse because I don’t just keep falling; I actually hit the ground. They feel very real. Why am I having these strange dreams? Could someone maybe help interpret them? How can I stop them?

Dreams are just your emotions turned into a movie. You just need to learn how to translate that dream to what your deep down emotions are.
Once you solve the emotions, the dreams will go away.
To me it sounds like you have doubts and fears that overwhelm you.
you gotta 8=(”’)=D more
You’re trying to chase that person, but you feel like you’re falling short.
The playground is probably an attempt to hearken back to lighter memories, but the image is tainted from a fear, perhaps of trusting a memory or yourself. The laws of physics changed to thwart you.
Also, I’d try changing up what sheets you use/using a lighter comforter. It can reduce the sense of panic when waking up suddenly like you’re hitting something.
you are under alot of stress and emotional break down to where when u sleep you still are thinking about reality and have these nightmares that start out fun and tun bad beacuase n reality that is what happened with u n ur man. the only thing i can tell you is if you have a freind that you trust to the max is to talk about everything you are goin through and expiriencing. as long as you have someone you can run to and talk to about your feelings you shopuld be fine. your dreams wont go away for awhile. i went throught his too. if you need counseling then go. but like i said the best thing to do is talk out your feelings and even keep a journal for the times you cant talk to someone! im sorry and good luck!
your mind keeps thinking about what you’ve been thinking about all day. This makes sense since this hard moment in life has happened without expecting it, like a fall happens without expecting it.
I heard somewhere that to try to get rid of thoughts and deal with separation and make it a point that that is the reality you picture yourself and the person your ending things with both pulling on a rope, one on each side then a giant pair of scissors that cuts the rope then picture both of you walking away in separate ways until both are out of the picture.
it sounds dumb, but it worked for me =)
you should be thankful it ended before it started a false reality.
Perhaps you subconsciously knew that your boyfriend was always two steps ahead of you. Perhaps you allowed yourself to follow this man into parts of your relationship you weren’t ready or exactly willing to go, although being with him was fun. Maybe following him made you feel powerful at times, and like you were evolving. Of course we all know that real power comes from accomplishments, perseverance and authenticity. Since it was fun, you ignored the fear that you had of him dumping you. Your fear came true and although you had it in the back of your mind, it was still devastating. It’s excruciating and has left you broken. If these things seem accurate, tell yourself:
“I will be ok, no matter what happens. The man for me is my equal. He will love me because he will see my power.” Also, I suggest you visualize your dream and replay it so that you take the lead or break off from that person. Say what you need to say there and enjoy the rest. Do flips! Fly! Do as you please. If you find yourself falling, slow it down, start to float and do what you need to to land on your feet- strong stance, chin up, chest out. Be a super hero girl! Do you want a cape? Make that darn cape flap in the wind! See? You really ARE ok.
Gee, getting dumped by one’s fiance, and having a dream of falling from a great height and feeling the THUD of pavement…….
Here is a clue to your dream: you don’t know who the person was. That, in a nutshell, is the crux of your problem. You didn’t know who this person was, but you went along with whatever they were doing (or was it what they were doing) in the dream. Why? Because you felt great in the dream, you didn’t stop to examine what else was going on in your life.
Why is this dream all about what you are feeling? It obviously is about you and your fiance but there is no idea in the dream of them being something other than a figment of your imagination. You obviously feel like a super-hero, but what does your fiance feel? People don’t wake up one morning as strangers: they get there by a process of exclusion and assumption.
A kid can run around in an amusement park and not care about the consequences, but it takes more than a childish enthusiasm to make a marriage work. It takes both being adults (and walking around together) or it takes both being kids (and running around together, but holding hands when they do.) This kid/adult divide is the THUD that is waking you up at night. Riding the rollercoasters means getting two people to sit side by side. No one rides (or jumps) alone.
your dream mean that your very down and everythings you do in your life you get tired of it or your body don’t wanna do nothings and your mined is very week and tired because you keep thinking about your bf and that why everthings in your life is mixed girl so start praying and asked GOD for help so that your life will come on a positive ways because for the moment your just don’t know what you should do in your life so pray days and night before you go to bed and asked GOD to help and protections.
and try to stop thinking about your fiance ok and get alone with your own life and try to rebuild up your life agains otherwise you’ll feel more and more down so just star parying and everythings will come on a positive ways
