List Anxiety Disorders
anxiety disorder?

i have a breathing condition caused by an anxiety disorder. i went to a doctor who confirmed this and diagnosed my anxiety disorder over a month ago. she gave my mom a list of therapists and suggested i get anti anxiety medication. my mom won’t call a therapist or get me a prescription, but my anxiety is getting worse and i’m starting to get panic attacks. what should i do? i confronted her and she thinks that “it’ll pass.”

Contact your doctor and let her know what is going on. Also, try speaking to a school authority about it (principal, doctor, nurse, teachers, etc). This is important and needs to be taken care of ASAP. Some may consider what she is doing abuse. Speak to someone you trust who can speak to her. Is your dad around?
