Can anxiety-induced high BP be resolved with high BP medicine?

Someone once told me that anxiety-induced high blood pressure (BP), such as that which is commonly associated with White Coat Hypertension, cannot be lowered with BP medicine. Does anyone know if this is true? Is the mechanism by which high BP is induced by anxiety that strong to indicate BP medicine cannot resolve/lower it? And if that’s the case, then can one make the argument that one needs anti-anxiety medicine rather than high BP medicine to cure an anxiety-induced high BP issue?

Sometimes, it can help. More than likely, it will take anti-anxiety drugs to lower it, or a combination of both. High blood pressure brought about by stress is normally very difficult to get under control. I would see a cardiologist and see what he or she recommends. Good Luck!!!
