Ok here goes…. I cant sleep wake up in the wee mornings hearts pounding blood sugar in the 100 range. Mind is racing I am thinking about everything. Sometimes cold or I have the hot clamy feeling. I shake cause I am cold. When Im hot I go outside. If is not any of these diseases could it be the meds I am taking? Glipizide xl, Metformin,Lisnopril,Metoclopramide,Lorazepam, Help me Please if u can…

Anxiety will cause the sleep issues, heart racing, sweats etc. For that, you should get Dr. Burns’ book: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780060577100

For the cold, clammy, shaking stuff, I would say that you’re a victim of “polypharmacy”, poor health, or a combination of the two. Read more about that here:

The reading I’ve done on this would seem to indicate that your doctor is less interested in a cure than getting you in and out of his office as quickly as possible. There are many alternatives to those things you’re taking. I’ve never had gastroparesis or menopause, but the reading I’ve done would indicate the best option for you would be to improve your health through diet and exercise. There is a wealth of helpful info pertaining to your issues here:

Dr. Burns saved me from certain death due to depression with his book, “The Feeling Good Handbook”. Dr. McDougall would have kept me from getting diabetes if I would have listened to him. Now, I manage very well. The only drug I’m taking is the minimum dosage of Metformin, eating right, have my weight down, and blood sugar is nearly perfect.

I’m not even going to speculate on the drug interactions other than to say, “That’s too many and it scares me”.
