My Big Chop Anxiety Attack & My Kinky Twist

4 June 2010 25 Comments

I am glad I went through with the BC, but I am still not ready to wear my natural hair out yet…here is an alternative style which is great because it is a protective style. (Plus I am starting my 6-12 month protective style challenge)

Was the extentions in a long pack or short pack?

Did the hairdresser when putting the rods on the end, dip it into hot water?

They are reallh pretty on you, they look natural

they are cute girl! i actually got kinky twists the same day as my BC too! the twa was great but i wasnt ready to “care” for it right away like u said. i love them. oh & the kanakelon hair is somewhat synthetic and part human, usually used for braiding since they dont frizz quickly. the twists do soften up after a while tho

OMG you look amazing, you are sooo beautiful! I luv your new look, no more drama and no more damage!

that hair is cool girl, thn for the empowerment some of these “professionals” will do the wrong things then u end up with damaged hair.. did she dip ur hair in warm water after?

Philly diva when your kinky twist get old you should flexie rod them or rod them and give them that afro but curly look and cute babe…

no they dont damage or t thin your edges at all :D

  • niqniq76 said:

Do kinky twist thin your edges?

they are started with a braid . they do a bit of that then twist the rest of the way down .

i know you had these a while ago but do you remember if they were started with a braid or a twist?

  • tori340 said:

you know that when you get kinky twist after like, 2 monthsa you dont have to take down all your braids just the front and you can wear them for another two months and your hair should grow an average of 2 inches

i felt the same way when i got my hair cut the first time. I didn’t have a bc but it felt like i was gone go through somethin lol

kanekalon hair is great for the hair. when getting hair braided make sure you hold braid to scalp as their braiding to stop breakage. and spray your hair with right on or care free (what u spray a geri curl with) it grows the hair and keeps it soft when taking it down . no tangles @ all

  • queenlaker said:

kanekalon hair is soft good for the hair and will not break. i tell you when getting braids get right on or care free spray like spraying a geri curl it keeps your hair soft and you can leave your braids for months without tangles . and trust me it grows. but to tell all you ladies when getting braids always hold the braids to your scalp as their braiding. my friends thats american black not african was a good braider and growed my hair. she has caputunel now from braiding

  • emocupcake17 said:

    what does twa mean?

  • PhillyDiva19154 said:

I used kankelon hair for this style which was not my favorite because it is not as soft as human hair but it last longer and is cheaper.

What hair did u use for these twists, it really beautifull
Did u say they had to curl them at the ends
im transitionin now wit braids n weaves, but i wanna try kinky twists. Thanks

Cool…so glad I am not the only person that felt this way. It will be 30 days with the twist so I think I am taking them out and let my hair breathe for about a week and then back to my micros…I love my micros so much.
