Nervous Breakdown Treatment
What determines wether your job will cover you for blue cross or not while on leave?

My H had a small nervous breakdown at work. Its a horribly run king Haven treatment centre for addicts. Over worked. Bad management. No help for the workers. My H had 2 years clean when he started there and worked there for 2 years and broke down.

We have had blue cross for the whole time. Then I contacted the book keeper there to see while hes on leave (its for 3 months at this time) if we will still have blue cross. She said that it will depend on what the boss says. : ( She said some people are on leave now and have it and some dont. I dont understand that. It sounds like discrimination to me. My H doesnt get along with the new boss (noone at work does he just got promoted and pulls power trips)

How do we know if we are getting treated fairly?

Actually it is called COBRA and they have to provide him with medical insurance for a certain period of time, the catch to COBRA is that you may be expected to pay for the insurance while as before the employer paid a portion of your insurance.
