If he’s a good doctor and cares about you he should trust what you are telling him and give you the right medication for it, it could be Xanax or Rivotril or whatever he thinks is the right medicine for you.
You just have to tell him EXACTLY how you feel, don’t hold anything behind, all those symptoms you described ARE symptoms of a panic attack.

I do have panic attacks and have for over a year now. I’m only 14….You can get rid of them from releaving stress and such but it’s hard…my mom won’t take me to the doctors when I told her about it, and here I’m sitting a year later and it gets worse and worse….
I think it’d be best to see a doctor before it gets worse…and trust me it does…what also helps is by talking 2 someone maybe a close friend or someone….just tell your doctor your conserned you might be having panic attacks and would like if he/she could look into it…it’ll be worth bringing up…

    Hope everything works out

You should go to the doctor. I thought the same thing but they prescribed me a low dose of Ativan which is a god send in those times when you feel really panicky! Just tell the doctor you’ve been feeling more anxious than usual and that you’ve been doing Internet research and panic disorder came up as something that you might have. The important thing is that you get help.

Everyone experiences different symptoms. Although these do sound like panic attacks I would suggest that you just be honest and tell the Dr your symptoms. There are many other drugs that help. I take Klonipin at night and it helps to lesson the attacks during the day. There may also be an underlying other cause such as depression…. Nothing to be embarrassed about 90 % of the world deals with depression at some point. The important thing is to find what it is, learn how to deal with it (sometimes you can do this without meds) and go on living your life to the fullest.
