Who watches youtube video’s on anxiety and what do you think of it?

i watch these videos all the time and feel bad for the people suffering from all kinds of disorders and i myself suffer from anxiety and panic attacks everyday and i just made my new video on there. do yall make your own videos on there? yall can check mine out on there my screen name is panicguy24 hope yall see what im coming from. i hate this crap.

I had no idea that youtube had videos of people describing their anxiety, but those videos are actually good footage for people like us to watch- it forces to see how others cope and react. It’s very weird cuz when we do have attacks all we think about is dying or being out of control and have odd thoughts- it’s normal. I noticed in one of your videos you said something about your muscles being tense- this is from hyperventilating or breathing to heavy/fast. We are taking in to much oxygen for out muscles to use so we get that feeling; my first attack happened in the car on the freeway and my arms got extremly tight and heavy. The next day I felt like I had been in a fight or had worked out for 5 hours straight.

If you’re worried about your meds or feel like they aren’t doing anything, see your doc again or get a second opinion. Some drugs work for some people while others don’t. Remember though, that drugs such as Paxil or Lexapro take a few weeks to really kick in. Your brain will start to take notice of leaving serotonin and other neurotransmitters alone- these are the things that make us feel ok and have been linked to depression, anxiety etc. Serontonin and other nerotransmitters get released between cells and people that suffer from anxiety either to high or two low of levels (I can’t remember if it’s one of the other, but I remember my doctor telling me it’s the Brain Police on overload) Personally I took Paxil CR, controled released, but it was pulled a few years back so I switched to some generic brand. I found that Paxil worked great from me, no side effects, never had trouble in the bed or “getting it up”. I noticed when I swtiched over that it things “changed”. Overall I was on Paxil for about a year and the generic for about a year as well. I then stopped taking meds all together- this was about two years ago. I have my moments where times are rough and I feel like I’m loosing it but just gotta keep on going. My biggest worry is driving, which is really bad cuz anxious driving isn’t good as we are more prone to having something happpen. So that right there should tell us to STOP and chill out.
