i have a phobia of being trapped, and i’m sure it has a name (not closterphobia). I fear being unable to fight, to escape, to respond. Not being in small spaces. I’m perfectly fine in a closet as long as i can get out. Search on google and oyu cna proabley find a site with names. Oh and one of my friends has a phobia of being alone(not as in single)- as in not having another human being with her.

I’m 25 and I’ve had acusticophobia since I was 3… that means i’m afraid of loud noises such as explosions (balloons, firecrackers, when bottles of champagne get opened…). It’s not a very weird phobia, I’ve known people who also have it.

I know it is a phobia because on holidays (such as of forth of july) i won’t go out in the street, and if I do, I’ll be wearing my I-pod on top volume. If i hear firecracker i’ll get an anxiety attack, I’ll get very nervous and start running away from the place. I can even start crying… It’s horrible.

i don’t know why, but it is very annoying and doesn’t let me lead a normal life. And when I was a kid, I always had to ask to my friends’ parents if there would be balloons, and if there were I didn’t go… That was sad, being 6 and missing parties because of a phobia…

I went to a therapist but wasn’t much of a help. Besides, everyone will jump off their seat if a balloon pops behind his head, so it’s a fear I don’t think I’ll get over. The reason behind this fear? I have no clue… I wish one day i find a therapist who can help me sort it out.

    Cheers! ;)

I have phobias of deformed people and something with an absence, for example an ipod that is bright white and no words, being trapped in a room/area with no way out, loud screeching angelic pitches, music playing backwards.. the phobias are endless. How do I know they are phobias?
They make me shake and cry.
