Preschool Anxiety Disorder
How do I tell my parents I might need to see a psychiatrist?

I’ve been having mental problems for a while now. It all started from tramatic events from my preschool and kindergarden.
I think i’ll be diagnosed with social anxiety and eating disorder.
But how will I tell this to my egotistic asian parents who think thier kid is perfectly fine and are in denial of mental problems in the family?
I can’t seem to bring up to topic directly, and i’m kind of scared they’re going to brush it aside and make jokes of it.

you could start off by sitting down with your parents & telling them you need to talk. Its going to be difficult but just take deep breaths and relax. Start off at the beginning, tell them you’ve been having problems and whats going on in your head. If your parents try to tell you that your over reacting or something be very serious, dont let them make jokes because eating disorders and anxiety disorders are serous. tell them how you feel and that you want to see a psychiatrist to help you.
i hope this helps and good luck with your parents!
