Separation Anxiety In Children Symptoms
Separation Anxiety Disorder In Adults?

My new psychologist just recently put SAD out there as a possible diagnostic root of my many, many mental issues, and I’ve been searching for more information about it to see how well I really fit the profile. Unfortunately, most of the facts I’ve found about it is describing the disorder in older children, not a near-adult. Plus, I’m a bit confused- does the attachment figure have to be a family member? Because I used to be super attached to my family, but then I grew older and supposedly independent, and now I’m pretty sure I exhibit most of the symptoms with my soon-to-be-fiance. Does anybody know where I can find some solid info on this disorder, or have any personal experiences to share? Any help would be graciously appreciated.

God bless.

nothing is limited to children or adults, and no it isn’t limited to family members. I would suggest asking your psychologist for books on the subject or even taking some psychology classes yourself
