Sleep Anxiety Wiki
I woke up with Palpitations this morning, what should I do?

This is the first time it has happened to me, and after doing some research, I am pretty sure it was palpitations. I woke up to a very slow, explosive and painful heartbeat as described exactly by this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palpitation#The_heart_.22stops.22

This is really weird, I’m 17 years old, I’ve never had this happen before, from the causes I saw, it seems that only adrenaline could have caused it. I don’t take drugs or drink, and have never had problems with anxiety before, so I’m pretty sure these aren’t the causes. Could it have been a sleeping issue, I remember waking up lying on my side if it makes a difference.

Should I dismiss it and go on? Should I wait and see if it happens again? Or should I do something about it and what should I do?

Too young, contact your doctor to sort out your problem OK.
