Hey everyone, my name is Mark. I’m 27 years old, from the UK and I have social phobia otherwise known as Social Anxiety Disorder. SAD is a fear of social situations and centres around the paranoid belief that people are being judgemental or overly critical of us. This makes the sufferer hermit like and stops them from living a normal happy lifestyle because they are constantly afraid that their actions may in some way embarrass them or cause them severe humiliation.

I really like all of your videos!
but you’re hot!! n have a nice accent. don’t have social phobia!!! … You speak well too… I think you’re motivated enough to find a solution…. I have legit bipolar 1… i get paranoid delusions… high school was fun for me too…
The worst part is, is explaining to someone, then getting the reaction “well i get shy etc” “you should just suck it up” I rly feel like telling these people to get fucked.
hey mark
good vid dude
Pills, therapy, books about the subconcious mind etc you name it.
In my experience I can truly testify that only The Living GOD has healed me.
Medications from doctors helped me a little and it was temporary.
God’s healing power is ETERNAL!
Now Im not an antidepressant pill dependent.
The cure for fear is FAITH!
Fear limits you.
FAITH ENABLES YOU!
People, THE ALMIGHTY GOD IS YOUR ONLY HOPE.
READ THE WORD OF GOD, HAVE FAITH AND OBEY!
God loves you and He wants you to LET HIM…
my profile is normally very thin and often with no pic. I am not brave enough to be on Youtube, although I wanted to. I keep thinking my employers or future employers will see it. Maybe when I retire.
I actually enjoy hiberating – it gives me a chance to restore my batteries.
I disappeared for a year from my blog and then went back on again as people missed me.
wow, I’m glad I started to search this topic b/c I was feeling all alone on this problems I have. I totally relate to your comment! You are not alone and I guess neither am I.
I bet you have a great sense of humor under all the sa. Hopefully you can release it and be free from this hell.
Hi Mark my recommendation may be Concerta its originally developet for add/adhd but works for anxiety too. If it helps live me a comment!
Jesus was the cure to all DISORDERS, I dont have social anxiety anymore because God taught me everything I needed to know to fight the Devil!
Read the bible! Believe in it! God will heal you all just like how he has healed me!
Praise The True Living God!
there is more people that suffer from this then u think including me.

Mark, Social anxiety eventually leads to age related depression. And it begins with ADD (if you’re sedentary and fearful by nature) and ADHD (if you’re hyperactive and angry by nature), this stuff pre-dates social anxiety. It’s a vicious cycle all about emotional control and social awareness and it leads to all of this other stuff including social anxiety disorder.
i wanted to dissapear too lol.i deleted everything on all my profiles and disapeared from everyone for a year.
hi im 16, i have the same problem i went to the doctor and had a few problems, now talking about this person to person affects me emotionaly i was at the doctors and i broke down i tryed to talk my lips kept shaking my face froze up my, also i havent started college because of this fear of people looking at me and judging my looks, i feel like i want to change who i am become somone else that sounds pretty weird and i dont know what to do
have you tried the CBT dvd series by Dr. Thomas Richards at the Social Anxitety institute in Phoenix, AZ? I just started it. A lot of people say it’s very helpful.
nice job mark. your bravery is inspiring. i have all the same problems you do. i know it’s particulary frustration when, as in your case, you don’t look lie a “shy’ person.
thanks for posting this video Mark. Sometimes its easy to forget that there are othere people out there who suffer from the same thing. Ive had social anxiety all my life and sometimes its more severe than other times. I find I can hardly ever be myself in front of people, so much so that im not even sure who I am…does that make sense? Anyway, im looking forward to watching the rest of your posts. Keep up the good work.
I know exactly what you mean about the face , my face always feels really stiff
We all need a break to hibernate
Thanks, but I’ve chosen group cognitive-behavioral therapy. I’m not one for taking meds. It all starts with a thought!
