Social Anxiety Disorder Symptoms Children
I consistently imagine myself getting yelled at or doing something wrong. What is this related to?

I am diagnosed with both Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder. I am quite nit-picky about my work, and I wager that this fear is a part of it. Ever since I was a child (long before being diagnosed with any mental disorder) I feared being yelled at, criticized or doing a task wrong (which, consequently, caused me to asked many many questions and sometimes get myself into trouble). Any suggestions on what symptoms like this might be related to, or how they develop? More importantly, how to manage them?

I also fear being yelled at, criticized or doing a task wrong. This is because growing up I watched my siblings get yelled at. I was criticized and I feared doing something wrong. This has caused me to lack confidence and have low self esteem. Maybe this has happened to you. There are good reasons why we feel the way we feel. Try to break things down into small, easy to manage steps so you won’t feel so overwhelmed. As you complete a task, recognize this is progress and pat yourself on the back. I hope things will get easier. Take Care.
