Social Anxiety Test
I have social anxiety and a great lack of motivation.?

I am in college. Sure I get my work done, do fine on tests, even though I have social anxiety and am depressed. But I never want to leave my room to go to class. I basically just have to force myself to. It’s not even that much about class as I just dont’ want to leave my room. But this semester I am really starting to just not care about class, even though I still try to make myself do well, my lack of motivation catches up with me. I am also horrible at time management, as far as getting to class on time. I always think I will have enough time to get ready and get there on time and then I don’t. It’s not about waking up early, its just about that I just have to do one last thing and then another last thing, when it starts creaping toward the time. I think I will fine but then I’m not. I have been this way my whole life about time. Also, quite alot of the time I just want to stay in the little world of my room and avoid the outside world. Any comments.

I have social anxiety as well and rarely leave my house. The one thing I can tell you is the longer you let it go on the worse it will get. I would definitely seek professional advice. At this stage I thing it would be readily treatable. Don’t let anyone prescribe drugs for you without working with therapy first.
Cognitive behavioural Therapy is very effective. I plan every weekend to go somewhere and do something and it never happens. I then go into a spiral of self hatred and depression. Please get some help. You are young your chance of getting better are excellent
