It depends on the change but sometimes it can take years to adjust. Sometimes, people hit the ground running. I would give it a year or two.

Does my dog have anxiety issues?
Whenever my father or I use any tool (from a paintbrush to a pneumatic air compressor to a stapler to a screwdriver) my dog will freak out, start shaking, panting heavily, and will be right on our toes. Is she afraid of the tools or something?

Any good books or tips for dealing with anxiety?
My problem is that when i get nervous or anxious i lose my appetite. It comes full circle when I do something like go out to a restaurant becomes i become overly worried that I am not going to be able to eat, I then get anxious about it, and this causes me to actually lose my appetite.
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. It has rendered me unable to eat in public. Please help!

I am constantly thinking that my anxiety is a heart attack…should I be worried?
I have anxiety attacks and everytime I get one, I think that I am having a heart attack or have a heart disease. Usually once a day I think I’m having a possible heart attack. I have slight chest/shoulder pain while this is going on, but then it goes away. Should I be concerned with it? I recently had a EKG and chest x-ray done and they came back a-okay. How can I calm my anxiety problems at night time?
At night time I have severe anxiety and paranoia problems. I continually convince myself that I can hear noises downstairs and I scare myself into believing that someone is trying to/has broken into my home.
