@knocky009 Anyone who things marijuana is the choice of drug to “relax” due to panic or anxiety attacks is a complete MORON!! Smoking weed should be for people who are dying and have severe pain perhaps. I’d rather take other drugs that don’t mess with the mind so much. Xanax sounds like a better relaxer to me then dope possibly could ever be. SIde effects of weed is awful and many people have gone to the Emergency Room freaking out thinking they are about to die from smoking it. No thanks.

    this process takes too long,

take a normal breath in thru your nose, then hold it in for 5 seconds, then exhale thru your mouth. and do over and over again, and you will get very very relaxed

    Hi Ginny,

Thank you so so so much for this. I’m 14 and I suffer from panic attacks in school.Today I had to excise myself from class and then get my dad to pick me up from school because I couldn’t handle it. If I get another panic attack, I will definitely try this.

Your voice is very calm and relaxing, very nice to listen to. Thanks you again.

When I get one of my 3 or four daily attacks it feels like my head is literally going to explode! It is scary and nauseating. My blood pressure goes up, and so do all my worries. As I kind of recover, things normalize. I may then feel good, but I have at least 5 attacks a week. Usually over 20. Been using valium and other benzos for 10 years. Works a little, but no cure. Going to try this breathing stuff til I get it right. Maybe I can get the number of attacks down.

Yes and this works my therapist was the first to show me this technique But it depends on how severe the anxiety is …The breathing tchniques did not work when i got very bad panic attacks not straight away anyway however they work when you feel anxiety or feel a panic attack coming on.
