    what I hate most about his shit is when i take 10 minutes to describe this anxious feeling to my friends, and then they just give me this blank stare and say, “just be yourself man.” –PUNCH–

    @Metsada007 Feel your pain man, very similar story with me. Thing is, focus on what you want in life and every now and then find the courage to stick yourself out there a bit.

    yes, and i’m actually having CBT now, but it doesn’t help. I’m a hopeless case.

  • TheSophist2007 said:

    @Metsada007 have you done CBT? Im doing that and its helping alot. Im changing my fundamental beliefs about the world and other people, its like I’m starting to feel normal around people

    @shrinkarc its whats going on inside that counts, its what youre thinking and feeling

  • TheSophist2007 said:

    @shrinkarc youre being too dismisive, its what you think and feel inside that counts. as well as outside symptoms, people hide their anxiety , its a constant

    @Rhodri0110 I totaly agree. In my experience labelling can lead to deeper feelings of abnormality, isolation and feeling “unwell”. It’s not healthy when one completely identifies who they are with a disorder be it. Social anxiety, Borderline personality, Alcoholic, Addict etc etc.

    It would help if people in situation did not have to endure it being called a ‘disorder’ and people did not put it down to a ‘chemical imbalance.’
    Good god, you do not need to give them more reason to feel uncomfortable in social situations.
    I suspect there is almost always an originating, rational cause for fear – both of the things listed above only make it WORSE.

    Where is the second part of this video?

    @Metsada007 ok so u dont have a life , mb u can waste ur life for helping humanity (: start studing math , discover something big , u have plenty time , spend ur life for good !

    No, you are wrong. You can’t just snap out of it. It’s (partly) biological. “Researchers observed hyperactivity in the amygdala when patients were shown threatening faces or confronted with frightening situations. Patients with more severe social phobia showed a correlation with increased response in the amygdala. Similarly, depressed patients showed exaggerated left amygdala activity when interpreting emotions for all faces, and especially for fearful faces.”

    @bedmanz

    The fear is so overwhelming, I can’t even go to a prostitute. I also think it’s immoral, but that’s another issue.

  • Metsada007 said:

    @bedmanz

    having no friends and girlfriend or wife is a direct result of social anxiety, they are related.

  • Metsada007 said:

    @shrinkarc

    I totally agree with you. People who claim to have social anxiety but are in relationships and work full time? I wish I had their “anxiety”.

  • bedmanz said:

    @Metsada007 video talking about social disorder , not about stupid lame ppl . Having no friends and girl have nothing to do with this , u can work throw internet , get friends there and buy some bitch for a night .. ugh how about doing that tonight

  • PsychoKrazyTime said:

    So to fellow social anxiety sufferers, with a lot of work, patience, and positive thinking, you too can get over it! All of you are talking to a future actor/musician/singer/director here.

  • PsychoKrazyTime said:

    You know what, I’m going to be totally honest. I too have social anxiety and I believe that my fear is pretty silly. Before it was so bad I couldn’t even go outside during the daytime. Thankfully it’s gotten better by a lot, although there is still remants of it that just won’t go away. Maybe they never will. But now I’m almost 19 and doing so much better.

    I see a therapist but this is making me cry because No one has ever put into such perfect words how I feel every day…Even I can’t tell my therapist how I feel like these people can.

    A person suffering from cancer or diabetes can simply stop if they “believed in themselves”…oh wait, no they can’t. You’re just some shady youtube troll, promoting his lame channel. You’re not that special as there are millions of channels. Get lost.
