Temperature Anxiety

Unexplainable Perceived Low Body Temperature .. Sometimes Shakiness Accompanies,Sometimes Rapid Heartbeat too?
These can occur independently, the low body temp is the main concern as i suspect the shakiness and heart beat to be anxiety related… but the room can be 72 digrees and ill get goosebumps and feel chilled…. what is it?
What do you mean “by perceived low body temperature”? If you take your temp with an oral thermometer when this happens and it reads low, that is an actual low body temperature, not a perceived one.
If the room air temp is 72 degrees and you feel cold, but your body temp taken with an oral thermometer reads normal, I guess you could call that a “perceived” low body temperature. I’ve never heard anyone use that term though. I’m not trying to be picky or critical, just trying to make sure that we are talking about the same thing.
I need to give you some info. Normal body temperature when taken under the tongue with a glass thermometer is 98.6 degrees (plus or minus 1 whole degree). To take this accurately you have to wait 20 minutes from the time you have had any cold or warm liquids in your mouth and you must put the end of the thermometer under your tongue and keep it there for at least 5 minutes. You also have to keep your mouth closed for this 5 minute period also.
OK, now we can start to talk about what might be the problem. If your actual body temp is less than 97.6 degrees, then you should see a doctor. If the problem is that you “feel” cold when the air temp is 72 degrees then maybe you should see a doctor anyway.
A low thyroid level can cause you to feel cold even when it is warm out but it shouldn’t cause shakiness. Normally, feeling chilled, shivering(being shaky) and having goose bumbs is a sign that your core body temperature is getting too low and these symptoms are your bodies way to increase your body temp. You should not be experiencing this when the air temp is 72 degrees and you should see a doctor to get this checked out.
If your blood sugar is too low, this can cause you to shake and to feel cold when it is warm out. It can also cause you to be anxious and light headed. You can tell if this is the problem if you drink a glass of orange juice with some sugar in it and the symptoms go away. If this solves it and you experience this frequently, then you have hypoglysemia and you should check this out with a doctor.
If your thyroid level is too high, this can cause you to have shakes, be anxious, have high heart rate, and feel cold. You need to see a doctor to check this out.
These are only the things I know about. It sounds to me like you probably should get these concerns checked out by a doctor so that you will find out exactly what is wrong. All of the conditions I have mentioned can be treated very effectively.
I hope something I have said has helped. Despite what medicine woman has written; I wouldn’t just accept this. You need to see a doctor.
