whether ALPHRAZOLAM group of medicines banned in Saudi Arabia? Because I am going to work in saudi from India?

I am anxiety patient and need to continue medication as per psychiatrist advice.please tell shall I travel to saudi by taking the medicine along with me. or should I get any permission to do so from any authorised department.

Alphrazolam belongs to the banned/controlled drugs. To avoid any problems you need:
a) a detailed medical report why you need this medication
b) have to send the same to the Saudi Embassy in India for approval to import your medication
c) if approved, you can only take as much as needed until you will receive your residence visa
d) after receiving your residence visa you can visit a local doc to receive a prescription (Govt. hospital).
