Gerascophobia? I think we all have that. Or the fear that our children will stick our A$$ in a nursing home.
I got the following info from wikipedia. Some doctors draw a distinction between gerascophobia and gerotophobia. Gerascophobia sounds closer to what you were asking about—-fear of growing old alone. This is what wikepedia says:
“Gerascophobia is an abnormal or persistent fear of growing old or ageing……
Some authors also refer to it as gerontophobia, while others prefer to distinguish the fear/dislike of old age in general and the fear of one’s own ageing.
Gerascophobia is based on anxieties of being left alone, of being without resources and of being incapable of caring about oneself.”
