What is a difference between panic disorder and generalized anxiety disorder?

Panic means a sudden shocking incidence which is capable of destabilizing one suddenly. And I think generalized anxiety disorder occurs gradually over a period of time. It is just like slow poisoning.
Well it’s not D. Women have panic disorder more than men.
It’a also not A, GAD has a MUCH EARLIER onset. It starts in adolecense or early childhood and panic disorder has an onset of late adolecense to your mid-30′s.
I’m between B & C because both depression and substance abuse is more common in GAD than in panic disorder.
I would question my teacher on this- unless your book says something specific.
If I had to choose I would answer B because people with GAD are under constant stress which is very closely linked with depression.

When we talk about disorder we already refer of something that occurs in a repetitive way. Anxiety doesn’t have such strong symptoms as panic, like shortness of breath, shacking,etc. It is more an anxious way and it is really closed related with depression and alcoholism. Usually you have first anxiety attacks, than this truns to panic attacks, which led to panic disorder.
