Been on Lexapro about a year now. 30 mg. It seems to be losing its effect it once had. It still works just I am back to having social anxiety. What is a good addition? I heard Buspar may work well. Suggestions to talk to my Dr. about?

30 mg. seems kind kind of a big dose. I am on 20 mg. Along with the Lexapro I take a small dose of Klonopin, and it helps immensely. Just half of a .05 mg.tablet works wonders for me.

    Blessings to you, my dear.

When I was in college I was taking a combination of Lexapro, Lorazepam, and propranolol to control the nervous sweating, tremors, and racing heart beat. This combination didn’t help me any but it works for some.

Pills don’t do it. I’ve been there, it just masked the underlying problem.

You can do it for yourself, ask your doctor about CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy.
Some doctors don’t like this, as once you have succeeded you don’t need to go back for pills.
Buspar is for short term relief anyway

I think Zoloft is supposed to be good for social anxiety.
