What is the relevance of the fact that Social Anxiety Disorder is located on the eighth chromosome?

Pastor Bob asked:

They have spent millions on determining that Social anxiety Disorder is a deformation of the eighth chromosome and that the result of the malformation causes interference in the serotonin transporter cells and the serotonin receptor cells. Also that the condition known in Japan as Taijin Kyofusho is the Asian equivalent to SAD.

Now why bother to spend all those resources on a disease that they have no intention of treating anyways?

Actually, I have a history of social anxiety disorder and depression, both of which I treat by taking Prozac. There ARE treatments out there for depression and anxiety, but if they can find an even better way of treating these conditions, I’m all for it!

    they DO treat it.
I hate to sound like a commercial, but you really SHOULD ask your Dr. about Wellbutrin.

I suffered from an undiagnosed clinical depression for 40 years, and now take Effexor & Wellbutrin & and they work just fine.

exactly. i think you just nailed it. why spend that money if there is no intention to treat… that is the $64,000 question isn’t it?

    I thought Government caused it.
    They wasted their money.
I never had it until Clinton was in office.
It has never gotten better for me.

I believe it has something to do with MAO genes on the X chromosome. It has to do with an unusual mutation. If they can understand it, they may be able to avoid future mutations, or they may be able to compensate for the mutation with medications directed at the purpose the MAO genes normally handle. That’s how I interpreted it, but I’m not a medical doctor. At any rate, it improves treatment opportunities, not wasted research at all. Many people suffer from anxiety disorder.

Sometimes when they lay a concrete foundation you can’t really tell what kind of building they are going to build.

This is just one of many stepping stones to building a genetic probability matrix on every human being. When you can do that you can then do many things. Deny health care to a individual who will most likely die young from heart disease no matter what you do. Incarcerate someone who has a high possibility of becoming violent. Label someone a murderer as they lie in the crib. The list is endless.

It also raises the question of “free will” vs “genetic destiny”.

    Rent the movie Minority Report.

Some will think that these things can’t happen, but they can. If I can think it, so can someone else… someone with more power than me.

DaVinci was persecuted for his ideas as well.

All that research for something so easy to figure out if you look at the bible!!

Gee whiz, I mean everyone knows Social Anxiety Disorder is a mental disorder and all mental disorders are signs that the devil is in you.

So to prove all this you only have to look at the number 8 , which going by the Fibonacci number series is: 1+2 =3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8

    Then Fibonaccily you take 1/2 =.5, 2/3 = .666, 3/5 = .6

Notice that 2/3 = .666 ? Sign of the devil!
    And to further convince you,
    3+5 = 8, (8th chromosome)
and if you take 3+3 =6 three times, you get 666 yet again !! , and once more for you skeptics:

by taking the 6 three’s from above and placing them on the 5 you get :5.333333 / 8 = .666

There now, scientifically proven about the 8th chromosome and didn’t cost a dime, look how much I saved you taxpayers. It can’t be treated and is caused by the devil.

    Sarcastically yours,
    Biire
