The leaders of this Great Godly Nation repeatedly use fear mongering to achieve their control over the masses. I hear much talk about the fear mongering of republicans but the Democrats have been known to resort to that vile tactic.
How Can placing the “Gitmo” detainees in Maximum Security prisons in the US pose any danger? The unrealistic, baseless, unwarranted fear has been induced by demagogues who know that if they lie loud enough and long enough the gullible Sheeple will swallow the lies.

I have wondered the same thing. Mostly city folks that are unarmed and part of the “sheeple”. Us country folks NEVER bow down to fear !!!!!! We are always locked and loaded, lol.

They listen to biased media, the media loves to pump fear into people. This is the only think I agree with Michael Moore on.
Because we are bombarded constantly by things that make us afraid. The news shows the worst of humanity. Commercials show us that if we don’t use the right products we wont fit in. Tv shows tell us how to dress, and how to cut our hair, and when we don’t we are ostracized by society for not being “in” or “Hip”. So the fear is there. Then comes the news and the politicians that tell us that we are in tons of danger from all different things. So the people who have been conditioned by the media automatically go into fear mode. Very sad.
Sure there will most likely be some sort of attack again on the US. but other than using common sense, there is nothing we can do to stop it. Being afraid just keeps us docile and content.
I agree completely. It’s as if they are implying that the murderers and other criminals behind bars are going to break out any time now.
What makes them susceptible? Their humanity. All people are prone to it. Scapegoating and demagoguery have been around since the dawn of civilization.
The English blame the French, the French blame the Germans, the Arabs blame the Americans and everybody blames the Jews.
The future is both unstoppable and unknowable. And everyone fears the unknown.

Fear is used by ALL governments in power but it is the main “tool” of the right-wing … If you don’t see that, i can only say that you are more than biased …
“Iraq has WMDs and they will attack us!!!” (while North Korea was actually spitting in our faces, really threatening us …)
W didn’t make us safer and 9-11 was under his watch after he was warned months before it happened. Then he told us attacks were imminent … the uneducated got scared … and Bush did exactly what he wanted …
The truth is we weren’t going to be attacked again, but sissy right wingers thought so, and in the end, they even thank Bush for making us safe LOL

You do realize that the Aryan Brotherhood is active and growing in every maximum security prison, including Super-Max prisons, don’t you? Several other large gangs have grown and become more successful while being led by federal prisoners.
What makes you believe that these trained terrorists won’t be equally successful in organizing, training, inspiring, and radicalizing existing Muslim prison gangs?

There is absolutely no reason to close Guantanamo.
I believe it was FDR that said ” the only thing we have to fear is fear itself”. Fear is a control tool used by all in power positions. It has been ingrained in man though religious superstition since before the written word.The news puppets continually spew fear at the behest of their puppet masters and the drones shudder and shake and forget about how they are really being screwed.
To bad people can’t figure out that it’s all an illusion.

It is only some Americans who tinkle in their pants over just about anything and everything. Those Americans are called Conservatives and they are about the biggest cowards this world has ever been home to.
Conservatives are the kids on the playground who hear of another kid bad mouthing and threatening them…but rather than be a man and confront the threat face to face, the conservative will sneak up behind the other kid and split open the other kids head with a 2×4…then act like he is a brave hero who was looking out for the other kids, when in fact he was only looking out for himself.
Liberals recognize the fear tactics when they see them…and typically laugh….conservatives fall for the fear tactics hook line and sinker EVERY SINGLE TIME.
I am liberal and I agree with you…NOTHING to be afraid of by moving those Gitmo guys to Max security inside the USA. I am also not afraid of just letting the Gitmo guys go free inside of the USA…not completely free at first…put them on a type of probation where they have to check in with local authorities every day and let them know they are being closely watched and if they so much as jaywalk they will be headed for Prison.
It is the Republicans who are spitting out the fear that these gitmo guys are CONVICTED TERRORISTS and if released into the USA they will be 100% FREE to do as they please.
