There are so many places you can obtain good information.
I would recommend that you think carefully before paying for any advice as you can learn so much from simply searching information on the internet. Simply typing in the word anxiety, panic etc will reveal a wealth of information. Be sure that what you read has a sound evidence base ie enquire about research factors underpinning any claims.
If you ever needed need more information regarding therapy and there are many good therapists out there. I would recommend that you ensure they are registered with organisations that monitor and help maintain good standards of practice. Over here in the UK there is which is an excellent site for information regarding cognitive behavioural therapists. We also have an excellent resource which is provided by the government and offers free, impartial and evidence based recommendations regarding a wide range of mental and physical health problems. This includes recommendations for care and treatment, medications and options with regards to therapy styles best suited to individual problems.
There are many excellent books too such as Mind Over Mood by Christine Padesky. This is a practical self help book based on the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy. A site called
offers an approach to panic and anxiety. I would strongly recommend that you read up on the subject of exposure and response prevention and also of the nature of the autonomic nervous system. A sound knowledge of the latter two areas can provide an excellent foundation for understanding anxiety in all its manifestations ie physical, psychological, emotional and cognitive components.
Good luck
You should know that there is a short term therapy called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety. With this therapy you learn to recognize the thoughts that lead up to your anxiety with that you learn the skill of changing the thoughts to positive. Most people who required medication for their anxiety don’t need it anymore after this therapy. It can change the rest of your life for the better>
