Women Anxiety Symptoms

Women, how long did your perimenopause last?
I started having symptoms of perimenopause 2 1/2 years ago.I am now 32.I have read that it can last anywhere from 6-12 years!!! I have had a very hard time with anxiety, hot flashes, etc.I had to start taking low dose birth control to help my symptoms.I was just wondering how long it lasted for other women -how long till you went through to menopause?Thanks-GOD-bless
Thanks lovebooks! I take magnesium,it really helps, and a multi.I also walk-it really helped the anxiety. My periods were coming closer, were lighter, then I would go 31 days and flood!I just feel alone because I am so young and none of my friends are dealing with this.
Kim-My mom went through meno early, and needed nerve pills. However she died a few years ago and did not tell me how long her symptoms lasted.I have no sisters.Early meno runs on both sides of my family though.GOD-bless
I’d say mine probably lasted about 3 years. Mine was characterized by heavier periods, anxiety, goofiness, migraines starting up again, etc.
I didn’t start getting hot flashes until AFTER I stopped having my periods. That’s my biggest problem now. I don’t want to take hormones, so I’m toughing it out.
I’ve found that walking 30 minutes a day has REALLY helped my hot flashes. Amazingly. Also, I take a B Vitamin liquid drop (sublingually) every day. B2, B6, B12 help, and along with magnesium in my daily vitamin, together they help the migraines.
You can get the B drops at WalMart or Walgreens in the B vitamin section.
Good luck! (I’m 56)
