How do you know if medication for anxiety is working?

I’m on Zoloft-150 mg. for about 5 weeks. I have social anxiety and every semester, when i go back to school, which is starting in a week, and i don’t think the medicine is working.
I have tried seeing a theropy, but when i get there, because of the anxiety, i don’t talk.

Your anxiety probably increases then. Check with your doc about adjusting your dose or trying a different med. Anxiety is one where the cure is talk therapy, and the meds just treat the symptoms. If you’re not seeing a counselor or therapist, give it some serious thought.
