Deep Breathing can be done by placing one palm of your hand on your stomach area. Inhale until your lungs are full, making sure that your stomach is extended outwards. Exhale and expel as much air as possible. This is fantastic for releasing stress and anxiety.

2. Meditation

Meditation can be done just about anywhere quiet. 5 – 10 minutes sessions are excellent for releasing tension. Close your eyes and visualize a place you love.  Clear your mind and just imagine yourself there and the waves rolling in, or taking in the magnificent view before you. It feels good to close your eyes and relax. You can even do this on your bathroom break!

3. Yoga

Yoga is absolutely fantastic for mind and body.  Research has proven Yoga’s effects on massaging internal organs, it even helps in the detoxification processes in the body. Performing slow deliberate moves, has a calming effect on the mind.

4. Stretching

I love this one. Stretching can be done anywhere. Its a natural thing for us, when we have been in one position for a long time.

5. Massage

Massage is an age old remedy for the release of tension and stress. Relaxing strokes relax the muscles and calm the nerves, and it feels great.
